Review by Lucas Domian

The Boys From Co Mayo by Eileen Donaghy is a delightful album that captures the essence of Irish folk music. The album features a collection of traditional songs and original compositions that showcase Donaghy's exceptional vocal talent and songwriting skills.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "The Boys From Co Mayo," a tribute to the men from Donaghy's hometown. The song sets the tone for the rest of the album, which is full of lively jigs and reels that will have listeners tapping their feet and clapping their hands.

Donaghy's vocals are the highlight of the album, and she delivers each song with passion and authenticity. Her rendition of "She Moved Through the Fair" is particularly haunting, and her version of "The Foggy Dew" is both powerful and poignant.

The album also features some lovely ballads, such as "The Rose of Tralee" and "Danny Boy," which showcase Donaghy's ability to convey emotion through her singing.
